Clear your facebook wall entirely with Greasemonkey and Firefox

by Lonnie on Dec.13, 2010, under Programming

Previously I posted a perl script who’s job was to clear out your wall posts, it worked but was slow and with the recent facebook updates.. it may no longer function.

I was browsing for an alternative that was simple and stumbled on a greasemonkey script to clear recent activity,  adapted that code to suit my needs and the result is my greasemonkey wall cleaner.

This is a nice little script, and certainly what I need, but I am having a slight issue. I’m needing to constantly reload the page to use the script, which will only delete one to a handful of posts each time I run it. I have also noticed the script won’t delete posts in bulk if they have comments from other users. Only those without comments, or comments from the post author, are deleted in bulk. Not sure if this is an issue with Facebook, or the script, but thought it worth mentioning. =)
