PayBox – Sign up as an earlybird tester and make $20 a day? really?
by Lonnie on Oct.07, 2010, under General Bits
Sounds too good to be true, but that’s what they’re offering over at PayBox .. if you sign up now and help them test it out, you get $50 in your PayBox account just for joining, and you get $20.00 a day as long as you log in daily and also submit a weekly survey that basically just asks a few questions about your online shopping for the week.. we’re talking only a few questions like “Did you shop online?” “What kind of thing did you buy?” .. no specifics, just a category of item ..
By keeping up with the basics you can earn $20.00 per day.. soon they will be allowing you to redeem that money in online purchases as part of the testing process, and then by the time the service launches in 2011, you will be able to withdraw whatever balance you have much in the same way you do with PayPal points.. PayBox by the way, bills itself as a potential PayPal competitor .. so their goal is to be what PayPal is currently, but only better and easier..
Oh, and they have a referral system as well, if you refer somone to the service then you get $5.00 as a bonus for each person.. Early Bird spots are limited, so I would recommend signing up while you can =) .. there’s no risk so no reason not to .. They don’t ask for any personal information ( no bank accounts, nothing like that )..
Try it out! All you have to lose is a couple of minutes a day .. if it ends up being bogus, then you’ve lost nothing but that .. if it ends up being what they say, then you could stand to make a few hundred bucks for your time.

Final update on Brennan Eden, he wrote today on this blog.
by Lonnie on Sep.29, 2010, under Uncategorized
I’ve not been posting updates on the topic for a little while because frankly everywhere I looked it was turning into just a bunch of people saying rude things without knowing any facts. I didn’t want this blog to turn into one of those places so I stopped approving comments and let it stand where it was.
I heard that Brennan was released from the rehabilitation clinic this week and then was surprised to find a comment from Brennan on the blog, which I confess was very nice to get.
In that comment, Brennan confirms that he doesn’t have any memory of the incident which is quite understandable given the severity of the accident.. he says that most likely he fell asleep behind the wheel since he’d not been to bed yet and worked the previous day .. I for one am perfectly willing to accept that and move on. I am very pleased that Brennan is now back home with family and can continue on with his life.. he’s no doubt going to be bombarded by media and others over the coming months, but that will pass.
Here’s the comment left by Brennan today: ( link )
Hi,
thank you for all the kind things you said about me. Most things I read on the internet have not been very sensitive at all.
I don’t remember the accident at all, but I am certain I didn’t do it on purpose like some people are saying.. I absolutely loved my car. It is likely that I fell asleep at the wheel & floored it with an exhausted foot.. I hadn’t slept all night & I worked the previous day. But I still am unsure.
As for me being a bad driver.. my previous record was on an extremely rainy day & i had no traction control, stability control, or antilock brakes on that car, really difficult to drive in the rain with that. I did have a need for speed, but i dont even remember going fast the time I wrecked I am not sure how that happened.
Thanks for stopping & not running me over.
Much appreciation!

Here’s my brilliant idea for an action film.. Covert CIA chickens and a rogue groundhog
by Lonnie on Sep.23, 2010, under Humor
It’s a story about a chicken on a secret mission for the CIA to take out a rogue groundhog named agent “bob” that is threatening the nation’s supply of pickled eggs.
This chicken is not your average every day run of the mill secret agent poultry either, this is a Kung Fu action star better known as Kluck Lee.. His trademark move is called “The Chicken Wing… of death”
Agent “bob” is evil, but he’s also a professional ballet dancer who dables in candle making and quilting. Oh sure, he’s crafty but he is also diabolical and has a strong aversion for pickled eggs.
Expect lots of explosions, powerful dance scenes that put “Foot Loose” to shame, and an underdog story that doesn’t even feature a dog!
Stay Tuned!

TuneCore – I feel like I’m home again
by Lonnie on Sep.18, 2010, under Uncategorized
A lot of time has passed since my various posts about WaTunes and TuneCore… as you know I cut my teeth with TuneCore and eventually left them for WaTunes…
If you browse the blog you’ll learn quicklly my issues covering all topics related to these two companies.. but I’m now back with TuneCore and it was a very pleasant experience .. the cost is higher than free of course, but you get what you pay for :)
The release cycle was very simple and pleasant, point and click all the way! i love that they now require raw wav files .. earlier in my experience it was mp3 files so this is a nice change and it means a higher quality product.
TuneCore also offers a very attractive “Widget” you can add to your site that allows your fans to listen to your work and buy right there without having to have any sort of e-com expertise ..
All in all, my experience with TuneCore has always been stellar, I am sorry I left them and I’m very happy to be back .. it’s like coming home…
PS. I am also a huge fan of the people behind TuneCore .. they are very responsive, friendly and have visited this blog on several occasions… Keep up the excellent work guys!
PS. PS. I never promote my work here, but I will this time.. mainly to show off the widget .. check out www.oneduality.com to see it in action.. and if you buy my album? I won’t argue :)
